DFLTI's Assembly

The Assembly is responsible for:

  • The Programme Committee appointment
  • The undergraduate courses’ teaching assignments
  • The validation of every decision, change and amendment to the undergraduate studies programme
  • Any other matter related to the Department’s operation

Committees

Programme Committee

The DFLTI Programme Committee (PC) is appointed by its Assembly and consists of 7 department professors. The Committee members are appointed by the Assembly for a 2-year term.

The Committee is responsible for:

  • Τhe undergraduate studies programme operation, coordination, and monitoring,
  • Requests to the Assembly regarding changes, amendments and/or updates to the undergraduate studies programme,
  • Any suggestions to the Assembly regarding matters relevant to the undergraduate studies.

Currently, the Committee consists of the following members:

Interpreting Committee

The DFLTI Interpreting Committee is appointed by its Assembly and consists of 3 department professors who teach in the Specialisation in Interpreting.

The Committee is responsible for:

  • Τhe operation, coordination, and monitoring of the Specialisation in Interpreting,
  • Requests to the Assembly on issues related to the Specialisation.

Currently, the Committee consists of the following members:

Communication and Interconnection Committee

The DFLTI Communication and Interconnection Committee (CIC) is appointed by the Assembly and is responsible for interacting with:

  • Research networks
  • Professional associations
  • Foreign universities

CIC is responsible for bringing DFLTI closer to the community as well as promoting the Department’s work.

Currently, the Committee consists of the following members:

CIC’s work is assisted by PhD candidates or/and postgraduate students appointed by the Assembly.

Committee for graduates' professional rights

The Committee for graduates’ professional rights (CGPR) is appointed by the Assembly and works closely with the Panhellenic Association of Professional Translators Graduates of DFLTI (PEEMPIP) on graduates’ professional rights.

Currently, the Committee consists of the following members:

Internal Assurance Unit Committee (OMEA)

The OMEA Committee is appointed by the Assembly and is responsible for DFLTI’s evaluation process. In particular, it is responsible for:

  • Gathering and keeping up-to-date departmental data
  • Compiling the Department’s statistical data
  • Compiling internal regulations (along with those of the University)
  • Monitoring the University Evaluation Committee's work

Currently, the Committee consists of the following members:

PhD candidates or/and postgraduate students assist the Committee in its work. These students are appointed by the Assembly.

University Research Centre Assistance Committee

The Committee is appointed by the Assembly and is responsible for drafting and submitting research proposals to the University Research Centre (URC).

Currently, the Committee consists of the following members:

PhD candidates or/and postgraduate students assist the Committee in its work. These students are appointed by the Assembly.

Monitoring Committee for internships and student educational activities

The Committee is appointed by the Assembly and is responsible for monitoring the internship of the students as well as the projects they undertake for various institutions within the educational process.

DFLTI provides two Postgraduate Programs:

Doctoral and Postdoctoral Studies Committee

The Doctoral and Postdoctoral Studies Committee (DPSC) is appointed by the Assembly and oversees the smooth operation of the doctoral programs. It is responsible for the coordination of all processes described in the Doctoral and Postdoctoral Studies Regulation.
