The Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting (DFLTI) has a solid international presence through its participation in various European and international programs, scientific networks and via collaboration with leading companies in the field of Translation and Interpreting.
Mobility programs
Erasmus+ mobility (Studies)
DFLTI participates in the Erasmus+ mobility program, which gives undergraduate and postgraduate students the chance to attend one or two semesters in various universities located in the European Union and around the world.
This is an opportunity for the students to learn or improve their foreign language skills, to familiarize themselves with the culture of their host countries and make international contacts.
Erasmus+ mobility (Era-Places)
DFLTI also participates in the internship aspect of the Erasmus+ program (Era-Places). Undergraduate and postgraduate students are employed as interns for a period of two to six months in institutions, companies, embassies, representation offices etc., in various European Union countries.
Through this internship abroad, students secure work and income and at the same time apply their knowledge in a real work environment.
Erasmus+ mobility for (Teaching or Training)
DFLTI extends the Erasmus+ program to professors wishing to participate in the program in order to teach or train for a short period of time in universities located in various European Union countries.
International scientific networks
DFLTI is a member of international scientific networks engaged in research in scientific fields related to Translation and Interpreting, such as Literary Translation, Translation competence and linguistic data.
