Facilities

The Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting (DFLTI) is located near the center of the new city of Corfu. Modern facilities house the classrooms, labs and auditoriums used by both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

DFLTI is in what was known as the Old Psychiatric Hospital in Chr. Tsirigotis Square. It has four main buildings that house the offices, auditoriums, labs and classrooms used by the Department.

Galinos Building

Galinos Building houses:

• The Laboratory for Geocultural Analyses (GEOLAB)

• Classrooms
• Facilities used for the MA "Science of Translation"
• Facilities used for the MA "Politics, Language and Intercultural Communication"
• The Computer Laboratory for postgraduate students

• Some of the academic staff offices

Asclepius Building

In Asclepius Building are housed:

• The Head of Department's Office
• Classrooms
• The Main Meeting room
• The Language and Politics Laboratory
• The  Legal, Economic, Political and Technical Translation Laboratory (ENOPOTEM)
• The Translation of Greek literature Laboratory (EMEG)
• The Computer Laboratory
• The Interpreting booths simulation facilities
• Some of the academic staff offices
