The Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting (DFLTI) is annually evaluated in terms of its teaching work, but also as an academic unit.
Evaluation of teaching work
The evaluation of the teaching work of every course is conducted by the students through relevant questionnaires, in which they express their opinion anonymously. The evaluation period is announced by the Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) of IU.
Completing the questionnaires is very important because, through them, useful information for the courses, the teaching staff and the facilities are gathered. The results of the questionnaires are used exclusively for the design, the development and the continuous improvement of the educational work in general as well as of the services offered to the students.
Evaluation of DFLTI as academic unit
DFLTI as an academic unit and its Curriculum are subject to periodic internal and external evaluation by committees of experts which are appointed by the Evaluation and Certification Council (ECC) of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE) in accordance with applicable legislation, the guidelines of ECC and the decisions of MODIP of IU.
The Internal Assurance Unit Committee (OMEA) of DFLTI is responsible for conducting the internal evaluation procedures and is supervised by the MODIP of IU.
The coordination and the supervision of all actions regarding the implementation of the evaluation procedures as well as the process of the questionnaires are conducted by the MODIP of IU.
