Evaluation

The Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting (DFLTI) undergoes evaluation on a department level to ensure the offered programmes’ quality.

Following the excellent accreditation report from the external evaluators committee, the Evaluation Council of the Hellenic Authority of Higher Education certified that the undergraduate programme of DFLTI is fully compliant with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015).

The accreditation is valid for 4 years.

Evaluation of teaching work

IU’s Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) regularly conducts academic teaching quality evaluations and invites students to submit their opinion anonymously through questionnaires.

These questionnaires are very important because they are used not only for the continuous improvement of the material and subjects taught, but also for the improvement of student services.

Follow the link for full details about the DFLTI’s quality process.

Evaluation of DFLTI as academic unit

Committees appointed by the Evaluation and Certification Council (ECC) of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE) conduct regularly evaluations of the Department in accordance with applicable legislation, the guidelines of ECC and the decisions of IU’s MODIP. DFLTI’s Internal Assurance Unit Committee (OMEA) supervised by IU’s MODIP oversees internally the overall process and ensures each requirement is fulfilled.
