Styliani P. Voutsa was born in 1973 in Volos, Magnesia, where she completed her secondary education. She graduated in Greek Philology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She also has a degree in Spanish Philology, Italian Philology and Portuguese Philology from the University of Salamanca, Spain (Universidad de Salamanca, founded in 1218). In addition, she obtained a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics on "Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language" and a Postgraduate degree in Spanish and Hispano-American Literature on "Vanguard and Post-Vanguard in Spain and Latin America" from the University of Salamanca. In 2008, she was unanimously awarded a Doctorate with the degree Excellent “Cum Laude” by the University of Salamanca, with a doctoral thesis related to modern Greek and Spanish poetry (thesis title: "Constantine Cavafy and Jaime Gil de Biedma: two poets, one conception biotic and aesthetic").

Since 2010 she has been serving as a teacher of Philology at the Dodecanese Secondary Education schools (with a second specialization in Spanish Language and Literature). After serving as a teacher in the islands of Kalymnos and Tilos, since 2019 she has been a teacher at the General High School of Afandou, Rhodes. From September 2023 she is on secondment at the Ionian University, at the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting.

Styliani Voutsa is a member of the Panhellenic Union of Philologists (PEF) and the Spanish Society of Modern Greek Studies (SHEN).She has published articles and studies on linguistics and literature in Greek and foreign philological journals, while she also writes for the local press. She has participated in international congresses and has published a book on words of Hellenic origin in the spanish language (¿Es el autobús una metáfora? Estudio sobre los falsos amigos del griego y del español, Salamanca, 2009).
