Karfi Sotiria: Curriculum VitaeSotiria Karfi has been a professional translator since 2014 and she has collaborated with domestic and foreign translation agencies, foreign subtitling studios and domestic publishing houses. In addition, she has been working as a Medical Interpreter since 2021. Her experience in translation includes, among others, the translation of legal, technical, literary and medical texts and her working languages are English and Spanish.
She graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting (DFLTI) of the Ionian University in 2014, where she also attended the Postgraduate Program “Science of Translation” and earned her MA in 2016. In 2024, she obtained her PhD from the same department (DFLTI) of the Ionian University. Her research interests include both the field of Translation and the field of the Cultural Studies.
