The Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting (DFLTI) at the Ionian University in Greece and the European Commission co-organise an online Translating Europe Workshop (TEW) on Tuesday, October 8 2024 under the title "AI Τranslation vs Ηuman Τranslation: Τraining Perspectives and the Impact on the Translation Profession".

Ionian University participates for the fourth consecutive year in International Fair of Thessaloniki, which will take place from Saturday 7 to Sunday 15 September 2024 (TIF - Helexpo, Egnatia 154, Thessaloniki). The graduation days at the Ionian University's Departments on 7th-8th December 2023 offer the opportunity to share a small but important part of our university's and island's intangible heritage: a publication on the first graduation ceremony of the Ionian University in April 1989; the first graduates were students of the Department of Foreign Languages and Interpreting.
