Short description: 
Analytic introduction to philosophy and Aesthetics as philosophy, while also examining its social and political aspects. Examination of the “aesthetic text” as a particular manifestation of the semiotic phenomenon. A general theory of the “work of art” emphasizing on “artistic polysemy”. Examination of the “intersemiotic translation”. Based on all the above and after the formation of general theoretic framework regarding the “work of art” , the course discusses issues regarding the concept of “intersemiotic translation”, especially to the extent that they are in line with the fields of art, aesthetics and translation theory of the “aesthetc text”.
Learning outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to:
develop critical thinking and will become familiar with philosophic thinking.
