This course examines the features of technical texts in Greek and German, the basic principles of technical translation by approaching texts of specific technical content such as medical safety instructions, communication risk in medical texts issues which are addressed to audience without specialised knowledge.
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will:
- be introduced to technical translation issues and will acquire the skills needed for the translation of specialised texts.
- learn to compare terms and syntactic structures in Greek and German.
- translate technical texts such as medical safety instructions.
- learn about communication risk by approaching technical texts.
