Stavros Kozobolis is an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting (DFLTI) of the Ionian University, where he teaches specialized translation courses from English into Greek. He has also been working as a professional translator and subtitler since 2017. His main areas of professional activity include financial and legal translation, the translation and localization of magazines and websites, as well as interlingual and intralingual subtitling.
He holds a BA (2015) in Trilingual Translation, and an MA (2017) and PhD (2022) in the Science of Translation from the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting (DFLTI) of the Ionian University, Greece. His main research interests focus primarily on the study of financial and legal language and translation, Terminology, and Corpus Linguistics. He has presented papers at international academic conferences, published articles in international journals, and participated in international and national research projects, either as a researcher or as a project manager.
Finally, he is a member of the BoD of the Hellenic Society for Translation Studies (HS4TS), the Hellenic Society for Terminology (ELETO), and the Panhellenic Association of Professional Translators Graduates of the Ionian University (PEEMPIP), where he has also served as Treasurer and Vice President.
