Dr. Iralia Kotsakidou is an adjunct lecturer and postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting at Ionian University, Corfu, Greece. During the academic year 2025-2026 she worked as an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Turkish and Modern Asian Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, where she taught Translation of Political-Economic-Legal texts from Turkish to Greek and from English to Greek. Her research interests include political discourse analysis, Politics and Society in Turkey, Religion and Politics, and political, cultural, economic and legal translation.

She holds a BA (2017) in Translation and an MA in Politics, Language and Intercultural Communication (2020) from the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University, Greece, as well as an MA in Religion in Peace and Conflict (2026) from the Department of Theology of the Uppsala University, Sweden. She earned a PhD in Political Discourse Analysis in Turkey (2025) from Ionian University, funded by the 3rd Call for HFRI PhD Fellowships.

She worked as an in-house professional translator from 2018 to 2021 and has worked as a freelancer since 2024. In 2024, she translated the book “Bir Fikir ve Aksiyon İnsanı Olarak Fethullah Gülen” from Turkish to Greek.
