Chariklia Alatza has been teaching Translation from German into Greek and vice versa at the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting (DFLTI) of the Ionian University. She holds an M. A. in German Philology II (Newer German Literature), Byzantine, Medieval and Modern Greek Philology from Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms University of Bonn with further postgraduate studies in German Teaching as a Foreign Language at the University of Bonn. She holds a PhD in Literary Translation of FU – Berlin University. Her research interests include the Translation of German Literature in Greece, analysis of prototype literary works, review of Literary Translations and the Greek – German relations.
