The World Conference of Classics is took place in Athens, following its inaugural edition in Beijing. Professor Stavros Katsios, director of the Hellenic Sinology Center at Ionian University in Greece, says the conference promotes a broader shift from civilizations studying one another to civilizations thinking together.
At a time when humanity faces common challenges, from climate change to cultural fragmentation, he believes classical traditions can help foster a new sense of shared responsibility.
