Christos Saltapidas was born in Athens in 1957. He studied at the University of Athens ( Department of French Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, 1976-1980 ) and postgraduated at the University of Sorbonne in France ( 1981-1985 ), where he was awarded a PhD in General and Comparative Literature.
He has been teaching French Literature and French Culture at DFLTI since 1988. He has participated in numerous conferences and workshops in Greece and abroad and has published many studies and monographs on issues related to French Literature and Culture, Comparative Literature and Literary Translation.
