The Steering Committee of the 15th Audiovisual Arts Festival (#AVfest2022) of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, in collaboration with the ERHMEE Lab - Department of Music Studies, of the Ionian University invites students and anyone who is interested in joining the volunteers’ team.

The academic calendar for the year 2021-2022 is published with dates on tuition, exams and holidays.

A programme for those who wish to acquire knowledge in the unlimited thematic of cultural heritage and culture through an interdisciplinary approach, to enhance their competitive abilities for examinations, participation in undergraduate or postgraduate programs, or for vocational retraining, and for those interested in the issues of cultural heritage, tourism and the threats and dangers they face.

The tender application GEOLAB's MOLCO Group under the 2021AO29 procurement procedure has been found to satisfy the exclusion and eligibility criteria outlined in the call for tenders by the Council of Europe. It is with great pleasure that the DFLTI of the Ionian University announces its cooperation with the Directorate-General for Translation of the European Commission.

The summer holidays period for the administrative services of the Ionian University will last until August 16th, 2021.

On June 29, 2021, the UNESCO Directorate of Higher Education approved the establishment of the UNESCO Chair on Threats to Cultural Heritage and Cultural Heritage-related Activities at the Ionian University and awarded the Chair to Professor Stavros Katsios.

The desire to start a "normal" new year is strong. For this reason, we urge all students and staff to be vaccinated, if they have not already done so, and in this way to strengthen the hope of returning to the desired academic normalcy. Safely, individually and collectively.

The prominent French Professor, Political Scientist and Arabologist, Gilles Kepel, paid a visit to the Rector of Ionian University, Professor Andreas Floros with the aim of coming closer to the activities of our University.
