The Executive Director of the Greek Center for Sinology of the University of Athens, Dr. Elena Avramidou, keynote speaker at a conference organized by Andrés Bello University and the Chilean Academy of Social, Political and Moral Sciences of the Institute of Chile, in Santiago.

Dr. Elena Avramidou participated, upon invitation as keynote speaker, in the international conference “Sócrates y Confucio: proyecciones al siglo XXI” (Socrates and Confucius: Perspectives in the 21st Century), which was organized, on August 6, by Andrés Bello University and the Chilean Academy of Social, Political and Moral Sciences of the Institute of Chile, in Santiago.

The event was honored with the presence of the Ambassador of Greece to Chile, Mr. Nikolaos Piperigos, the Ambassador of China to Chile, Mr. Niu Qingbao, members of foreign diplomatic missions, members of the Chilean Senate and former ministers, academics, university students and a large crowd.

After the conference, there was the presentation of my book “Platón - Confucio: Reflexiones comparadas sobre ética y política”, published in Spanish by the Andrés Bello University.
