The Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting (DFLTI) has created an intradepartmental research area which consists of clusters that constitute the scientific and research cluster.
Nowadays, the solutions for the challenges that arise are found in the field of interlingual and intercultural communication.
Research clusters, which constitute a coordinated initiative from members of the Teaching and Research Staff, explore and propose solutions to contemporary issues that concern DFLTI and society at large.
Take a look at the Teaching and Research Staff of DFLTI.
DFLTI encourages the creation of clusters by its teaching staff with research experience.
Each hive consists of:
- The Principal Investigator (teaching staff member)
- At least one more teaching staff member
- The required number of PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers and students, depending on its research objectives.
The proposals regarding the creation of a hive are evaluated for their maturity by the Institute of Linguistic Studies and Translation and Interpretation Sciences of the University Research Center of Ionian University.
