Scope: The master's degree "MA in Security and Cultural Heritage Studies" aims to educate and specialize students in the sustainable management and development of cultural heritage and related activities, with particular reference fields:

➢policies for cultural heritage and its protection
➢the identification and analysis of threats to cultural heritage and tourism
➢ the multi-level issues related to tangible cultural heritage in the context of globalization, reform processes, cultural significance, global tourism, migration and environmental crisis
➢cultural heritage and contemporary forms of conventional or hybrid conflicts
➢the innovative participatory management of cultural heritage and the actors involved
➢ role of communication and information technologies in the management and protection of cultural heritage and the development of tourism,
➢ techniques for managing the diversity of culture and communication for the sustainability of relevant economic sectors such as tourism
➢the natural and artificial cultural and tourist attractions,

Learning outcomes: On successful completion of the Master's program in Security and Cultural Heritage Studies, students will be able to:
➢Understand the principles and theoretical bases of cultural heritage, its protection and threats to its protection at various levels.
➢Demonstrate a critical understanding of the legal and regulatory framework and key principles and practices of disciplines such as archaeology, history, cultural heritage, human rights, financial crime and risk management and security policies, enabling them to address complex issues related to contemporary protection of cultural heritage and related threats.
➢Contribute to problem solving and critically analyze and evaluate different aspects of cultural heritage security and sustainability and develop innovative solutions to address challenges in this field.
