General Provisions
1.1 The Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the School of Humanities of the Ionian University organizes, in accordance with the provisions of Law 4957/2022 (Government Gazette 141, issue A/21-7-2022), a Postgraduate Studies Program (MA) entitled “Security and Cultural Heritage Studies” which leads to a Postgraduate Diploma in the relevant fields of knowledge.
1.2 The structure, organization and operation of the above Foreign Language Postgraduate Studies Program (MA) are determined in the founding act and are based on the provisions of the relevant Laws and Ministerial Decisions.
1.3 Attendance at the Postgraduate Studies Program is full-time.
1.4 The provisions of this Regulation, as analyzed below, specify the legislative framework for the postgraduate studies and regulate, in a uniform manner, issues of operation of the Postgraduate Studies Program in accordance with applicable legislation.

Subject - Specializations - Diploma
2.1 The MA in Security and Cultural Heritage Studies aims to educate and specialize students in the sustainable management and development of cultural heritage and related activities.
2.2 The MA in Security and Cultural Heritage Studies prepares students for a successful career in various fields, such as cultural heritage protection, security and risk management, international relations and diplomacy. Graduates can work in government agencies, international governmental and non-governmental organizations, cultural institutions or private companies dealing with issues of security and/or protection and management of cultural heritage.
2.3 The MA in Security and Cultural Heritage Studies awards a Postgraduate Diploma in “Security and Cultural Heritage Studies”.
