The Director is selected from the Teaching and Research Staff of the Departmen and is appointed by decision of the Department Assembly for a two-year term, renewable without limitation.

The responsibilities of the Director of the MA are the following:

• S/He Chairs the Coordination Committee, draws up the agenda and convenes its meetings,
• S/He brings to the Department Assembly all issues concerning the organisation and function of the postgraduate programme,
• S/He brings to the Coordination Committee and to the other governing bodies of the University any issue that concerns the effective function of the postgraduate programme,
• S/He monitors the implementation of the decisions of the Coordination Committee and the Internal Regulation of the postgraduate programme.
