Past Continuous – Digital Information Literacy innovating History School Curricula and learning delivery
The research project titled "Past Continuous – Digital Information Literacy innovating History School Curricula and learning delivery", funded by the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH – Cooperation Partnerships in School Education program of the European Union, focuses on integrating digital literacy into European school education through history teaching.
Project Objectives
The main goal of the project is to embed digital literacy skills into existing subjects without introducing a new course, thus avoiding disruptions to school timetables. The integration of digital literacy with history teaching represents an innovative approach to social sciences curricula, equipping them with modern methodological tools for the analysis and comparative study of historical documents—both past and contemporary—while also fostering transferable skills among students.
Key Pillars of the Past Continuous Project:
- Enhancing students' learning skills by linking modern digital competencies with history education
- Strengthening teachers’ professional skills and developing innovative teaching tools
- Modernizing European education systems by incorporating digital literacy into curricula and initial teacher training
- Digitally transforming teaching methodologies and pedagogical approaches.
